Vehicles we accept in New Orleans

Cars, trucks, SUVs, motorcycles, boats, RVs — running or not, clean title or complicated.

At Crescent Wheels, we’re all about giving your ride a second chance—whether it's drivable or not! We accept a wide array of vehicles to help fund our vital benefits-research services for our fellow New Orleanians. Whether you have an old sedan gathering dust, a truck that’s seen better days, or even a boat that just floats in the bayou, your donation can make a significant impact. Every vehicle donation helps connect our community to essential programs like SNAP and WIC, ensuring that everyone gets the support they need.

Categories we accept

Cars & Sedans
1995-present

Cars and sedans are often auctioned off, giving them a new lease on life while generating funds that help support local services. If they’re not in working condition, parts can be recycled or salvaged, maximizing value.

In the vibrant city streets of New Orleans, many residents use sedans for their daily commutes, and even older models can still generate interest at local car auctions.

Pickup Trucks
2000-present

Pickup trucks are prime candidates for either auctioning or breakdown for parts. Many times, local contractors or tradespeople are eager to buy them for work-related purposes.

With the demand for pickups high among New Orleans construction workers, your donation can directly assist those keeping the city alive and well.

SUVs & Crossovers
2005-present

SUVs and crossovers are typically auctioned but can also be repurposed for parts if they don’t run. These larger vehicles can be very appealing to families in our community.

In New Orleans, SUVs are perfect for family outings or tailgating at local festivals, making them a valued addition to our community's vehicles.

Motorcycles
1990-present

Motorcycles are often sold at auction or can be parted out for those looking to restore their own bikes. Enthusiasts in our area relish the chance for a good deal.

Cruising through the streets of New Orleans on a bike is a true local pastime, and your donation could fuel the passion of another rider.

RVs & Campers
2000-present

These vehicles can be sold at auction, or if they’re beyond repair, repurposed for parts. RVs can also serve as temporary shelters for those in need.

RVs and campers are perfect for weekend getaways along the Gulf Coast, making them a desirable option for many local families looking for adventure.

Boats
2000-present

Boats that are in decent condition can be auctioned to eager buyers, while non-functioning ones can be salvaged for parts or materials.

As part of a city surrounded by water, your donated boat can help fellow New Orleanians continue their fishing traditions or simply enjoy the scenic waterways.

Commercial Vehicles
2000-present

Commercial vehicles often attract businesses at auction or can be utilized for parts, especially for local companies servicing our community.

With a bustling local economy, your commercial vehicle donation could support small businesses that keep our beloved city running smoothly.

Non-running Vehicles
Any year

Non-running vehicles can still hold value through recycling or parts harvest, and every donation helps fund our community services.

In New Orleans, you can find an abundance of non-running vehicles parked in yards, just waiting for the right chance to be revived or responsibly recycled.

Condition guide

When it comes to the condition of your vehicle, Crescent Wheels takes a flexible approach. If your car runs, it's likely to fetch a better price at auction, contributing more to our funding goals. However, even if it's not operational, there's still a place for your vehicle in our program! Non-running vehicles are accepted as they can be disassembled for parts or recycled. We encourage donations of all kinds!

It’s important to note that vehicles with salvage titles are accepted, but they may be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Rebuilt or reconstructed titles can also be considered. However, if a lienholder is present, we need to clear that up before moving forward. Missing titles might complicate things, but don’t let it stop you from reaching out to us.

Pickup considerations

Crescent Wheels understands that not all vehicles are easily accessible. If your car or truck isn’t running or is parked in a hard-to-reach spot—like a tight apartment complex or rural property—don’t worry! We coordinate with local tow services that are accustomed to navigating the winding streets of New Orleans, ensuring a seamless pickup process. Even if your boat is docked at a marina or your RV is parked in a tricky spot, we’ll work with you to make the donation process smooth and hassle-free.
